Feedback:Tried to find a timetable online for flights from nelson to wgtn.Is there a trick to this?I can see that there are up to twenty flights a week...but thats it.Click timetables (is that where i should be looking?? for a schedule...click Nelson....click timetables.....click cheapest fares across week ($102-great! but what days...and when??) Ring the 0800 help number......no one answering...but its a nice day at Soundsair!and i can book online...if only i could find a schedule! Go to air2there...find a timetable! and fares!Great!Problem solved!
Dear Bill
Many thanks for your feedback. Firstly apologies for no phone answer. If it was today then Wellington Airport was chaos due marginal weather and phone was running hot, not good however, but demand was high.
Re Timetables we have recently got rid of them as we are operating so many sectors and so many different flights at different times it was almost a full time job keeping them up to date. Most airlines do not display a timetable for this reason. The easiest way is to Click Book On-line on our website, select the dates you want and show fares across a week and it will show you all the flights that are operating and have seats available.
With air 2 there it is easy to keep a timetable, they only offer 3 flights a week. I trust that this has answered your question and we plan to change the Timetable heading this week as it has been causing confusion.

Feedback: On behalf of Robyn, Phyllis and myself, I would like to pass on to you our thanks for the exceedingly helpful service we received from your staff at Wellington airport on 17th Nov. Due to unforseen circumstances, Robyn and Phyllis were running late for our 10.45 flight to Picton. Not only did your staff make every effort to help us connect with the flight (in a calm and professional manner), they also parked Robyn's car in the long term car park for her to collect on our return!!! We think this is outstanding customer service which we want to acknowledge.
We will recommend Sounds Air to everyone we know!!
Kind regards,
Mirrol

Feedback: I'd like to say Thanks so much to the staff at Nelson and Wellington
Sounds Air checkins, and to the wonderful pilots, Paul and Becks, who flew me so capably to Wgtn and back. I flew on Nov 10th at 7am, returning to Nelson on 11th at 11.45am. The weather was sunny and beautiful, and the views could hardly have been more perfect.....lovely fluffy clouds over the Sounds, and perfect clarity
coming out of Wgtn, and into Nelson over the Boulder Bank and Monaco. It has been many years since I've flown, and I'm most grateful for having a really positive trip with a lovely, friendly, casual airline, in a small plane with wonderful views.....
And with fares that are consistent and affordable. Many many thanks ..... especially to Becks and Paul.
We love your service and wish to compliment you on not only surviving in a fairly tough local industry but having wonderful people who fly passengers safely and give them the wow factor at the same time.
Margi
PS :- I took lots of photos, which have come out really beautifully!

Feedback: I am traveling to Picton on Monday (November 22, 2010) from Wellington, since this is my first visit via Sounds Air... I was a bit worried! The website was very easy to follow, but had a doubt about the drop off and pick up points... and hence I gave a call and spoke with Yvonne. She was extremely helpful and professional. She made me feel very comfortable and got my confidence back on track.
Thanks very much!
Deepika.

Feedback: I am trying to find out what times of day your Wellington-Nelson-Wellington service operates. Where on this website can I do that? I've been trying! My dates are flexible, my time of day is not.
Dear Carol
Thanks for your feedback. We do not have a timetable on the website as with so many routes it is hard to keep it up to date.
If you click Book Online have a look at the day you want to travel it will show you what flights and seats are available. Also if you click Show Cheapest Fares across a week it will give you all options.
Let me know if you need anything further.

Feedback: Hi there.. Just curious to know why there are no flights to Kaikoura? I live in Wellington and it seems there is no direct way to get there? Just interested in knowing why that's all... would appreciate any feedback..
Regards,
Jason
Dear Jason
Many thanks for your feedback. Sounds Air operated a scheduled air service between Wellington and Kaikoura for four years between 2004 and 2008 with mixed success. In the end was just not viable to continue operation.
The problem is to operate any air service you need a base of population, Nelson / Tasman area has 90,000 population and Marlborough has 43,000 but Kaikoura area has a population of 5,000. Whilst there are plenty of tourists you need that regular client base to at least break even. If we did one return flight a day you would need 7 people each way just to break even on every single flight. It just doesn't happen..
So sorry but that is why we don't fly to Kaikoura. We can fly you to Picton or Blenheim but then I appreciate it is a 90 minute drive but it is the quickest way available at present.
Thanks again for taking the time to write and hope to see you on Sounds Air sometime soon.

Feedback: We recently travelled from Wellington to Picton and back home again (Friday to Sunday 3-5 September). We are frequent travelers for the hop across the Strait. If we are not sailing across in our own boat, we are using your airline as does our family - usually to join us on the boat in the Sounds.
I wish to compliment you on your fantastic service. Your pilots have a great can do attitude and clearly are very skilled at flying into windy old Welly and cute Korimiko.
I also wish to make a special mention of Yvonne at your Picton office. She is awesome. As business owners and managers ourselves, she is one cool lady with a great attitude. I hope you agree that she deserves an award for her wonderful positive and can do attitude that makes customers want to keep flying again and again with your airline.
We love your service and wish to compliment you on not only surviving in a fairly tough local industry but having wonderful people who fly passengers safely and give them the wow factor at the same time.

Feedback: Marty & I would firstly like to apologise to everyone for any
inconvenience we caused you this morning.
And secondly want to say a BIG THANK YOU for looking after us by
waiting for us, that was simply amazing of you all.
We never thought you would wait, only thought you may have got us on a
later flight..
We have never experienced such heavy fog in the Sounds & had to travel at 6 knots instead of the normal 28 knots, scary stuff...
So thank you Sounds Air you are simply AMAZING... As usual.
